LA MINUTE IRONIQUE

Je vous trouve très beau

C’est très inhabituel

car mon œil cassé

ma prunelle plein phare

et mon cerveau usé

peinent habituellement

à ce genre de gloire

Mais chez vous

un sourcil dressé

brun et ombrageux

sur un œil bien bleu

la minceur de vos traits

vos deux joues ironiques

votre bouche carminée

votre menton prégnant

lèvent toute barrière

Et en vous regardant

je me suis dit que peut-être

je changerais d’avis

sur l’homme ?

Ah quel dommage

que vous n’existiez pas !

THE IRONIC MINUTE

I think you are very handsome
This is very unusual
for my broken eye
my eyes are full of light
and my worn out brain
usually struggle with
for this kind of glory
But with you
a raised eyebrow
brown and shadowy
on a blue eye
the thinness of your features
your two ironic cheeks
your carmine mouth
your prominent chin
remove any barrier
And while looking at you
I said to myself that maybe
I would change my mind
about the man?
Ah what a pity
that you don’t exist!
