Creedence Clearwater Revival (1958 -1972, 1993) est un groupe de rock américains de Berkeley dans la région de San Francisco. Son rock trouve ses origines dans le blues et la country. Formé en 1958 à l’initiative de John Fogerty (auteur, compositeur, chanteur et guitariste), de Doug Clifford (batteur) et de Stu Cook (bassiste) puis rejoint par le frère aîné de John, Tom Fogerty, ce groupe prendra divers noms tels que Blue Velvets, Golliwogs, puis Creedence Clearwater Revival en 1968, nom de leur premier album.
