Brainbox est un groupe de rock néerlandais, originaire d’Amsterdam formé en 1968 par Jan Akkerman à la guitare, Pierre van der Liden à la batterie, Andre Reynen à la basse et Kazimir Lux dit Kaz au chant. Ils se sépareront en 1972. Le son de ce groupe rock emprunte au rock progressif, au blues ainsi qu’à la musique folk. En 2004, le groupe se reforme sans Jan Akkerman ni van der Linden.
