Tatanka Yotanka ou Sitting Bull ou Taureau assis (né vers 1831 – 1890) est un célèbre chef de tribu et médecin des Lakotas Hunkpapas (Sioux). Il sera l’un des principaux artisans de la résistance des Amérindiens face à l’armée américaine, et affrontera le général Custer à la bataille de Little Bighorn le 25 juin 1876 .

One of my favorite quotes. When I was a little girl and we moved to North Dakota for awhile we stopped off at Custard’s last stand. I remember it as being very sad and just grass everywhere. My Nana wanted to go and I wanted to go to Yellowstone park instead. I was 6 years old at the time and didn’t understand the meaning, later as an adult I would read Bury my heart at wounded knee and learn so much. I will always love that quote…money is just a tool and nothing else. It is pure evil when people worship it.
